Strength:

OPC cement is known for its high strength, making it suitable for heavy-duty applications.

PPC cements have slightly lower strength but offers better long-term durability.

Setting Time:

OPC cement has a faster setting time compared to PPC. OPC cement has a setting time of around 30 minutes where as PPC cements have a slightly longer setting time from 2-3 hours.

NOTE: This time can vary based on specific conditions depending on various factors such as temperature and humidity.

Cost:

Generally, PPC is cheaper than OPC. We can find PPC cement for around 500-520 on average, while OPC is priced higher at 610-650 in today's market.

Curing Time:

Curing is the process of maintaining moisture in the concrete for proper hydration and strength development.

OPC cements typically require a longer curing time compared to PPC cement.
